Dana Dwaileebe of Stone Bounty Lapidary cut this MONSTER of a Desert Bloom Cabochon. Weighing in at a whopping 59 carats, this one is sure to make a statement piece. Dana lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, but travels to California to be with her mom a few times a year. Dana was initially a silversmith and does some crazy chainmaille, but then started dabbling in lapidary through her local rock club about 8 years ago. We both agree that cutting rocks is way more fun than silversmithing, so she took a hiatus on smithing to primarily cut rocks!
